Dick Holmes How do I begin? I went in for a job interview and came out with a friend. I went in for a second interview and we both reminisced about our younger days, raising children, mutual acquaintances, baseball and the art of selling to physicians. We smoked cigars together and the job was mine. Dick retired, sort of, but still came in every day as an adviser. He would hear me tell a joke or a story and he would start to sing “That’s a Maury”. I was called into his office one time. I wondered what I had done wrong. He sat at his desk with a big smile and two checks. I had won a two part contest. He thanked me for my hard work and congratulated me. We both laughed when I told him I didn’t know there was a contest going on. A very good man, a father, a grandfather and a great grandfather, it was a pleasure to watch him interact with his children and grandchildren in the office. A great business man, he started his business from scratch, but more importantly, he was a kind hearted man, respected and loved by all. Rest in Peace Dick. Go out to hit in the 60’s on that golf course in heaven.
